Keywords
The keywords have an important function when it comes to organizing the archive. It may be a good idea to decide in advance on a common system for the keywords. For example, should all keywords be in the plural or singular? If the keywords follow certain rules, it is easier for the user to use them in searches afterwards.
An asset archive often consists of files with many different origins, so the use of metadata can vary. The Mediebank is therefore built so that if the assets already contain embedded metadata, these are automatically added.
Technically, the keywords are linked, so if you edit the keyword list, the change will take place on all assets that include the keyword.
Â
In the organization settings, you will find two different lists of keywords:
One list is called "Keywords in assets" and is a list of all the keywords found in the archive.
The second list is called "Whitelisted keywords" and contains the keywords you have created yourself.
Whitelisted keywords will only be available for those who have chosen to restrict the usage of keywords.

Edit Keywords
Administrators have the ability to edit keywords. This can help keep the keyword list organized for your organization and is particularly useful if users are free to create their own keywords for files.
Here is how to create predefined keywords:
Click on your profile picture in the top right corner.
Select Organization Settings.
Choose Metadata and then Keywords in Images. The keyword list is sorted by how often the keyword is used, with the most used ones at the top.
Select the keyword you want to edit and click on the dots to the right. You can edit or delete the keyword, or merge it with another one.
Â
Tip: In the asset preview, you may click on the keywords below the asset to see all assets with the same keyword.
