Search and filter

Sorting on article and page

Our system empowers you to streamline your search by content type. By using the search type command type:article, you can narrow down results to display only articles. The same applies when you add type:page, then the search will narrow down to displaying only pages. This feature enhances precision and saves time when you're focused on specific content types.

Filtering on publication and date

Tailor your search further with filters based on publication and date. Easily access articles and PDFs from specific sources or within a designated timeframe. This granular filtering ensures that you find the most relevant and up-to-date materials for your needs.

Ordering by newest, oldest, and relevance

Sorting options allow you to arrange search results according to your preferences. Whether you're interested in the latest, historical context, or the most relevant content, our system provides the flexibility to order results by newest, oldest, or relevance.

Advanced search

For intricate searches, our advanced search functionality is your ally. Imagine you're looking for information about the football sensation Erling Braut Haaland. You have two search strategies at your disposal:

  • Exact Match: To find results containing the entire name "Erling Braut Haaland" simply type the name with quotes. This will retrieve articles and PDFs where the full name appears.

  • Partial Match: If you're interested in articles related to Erling, Braut, or Haaland individually, enter Erling Braut Haaland with spaces and no quotes. Our system will display results containing any of these words.

Logical Operators (AND, OR, NOT)

To further refine your searches, employ logical operators. For instance:

  • AND: Use "AND" to narrow down results. Searching type:article AND “Erling Braut Haaland" will yield content where both terms appear together, delivering highly relevant outcomes.

  • OR: To broaden your search, utilize "OR." A query like "Erna Solberg” OR “Erling Braut Haaland" will retrieve articles or PDFs that include either term.

  • NOT: Exclude specific terms by incorporating "NOT." If you're interested in Erling but not Haaland, search "Erling NOT Haaland" to omit results containing the latter.
