Users

Users are anyone who may access the Mediebank. A Mediebank user almost always represents an individual person. All users belongs to an organization, and what they are allowed to do with the assets in their organization depends on their role. For more information about user roles see User roles.

Asset ownership

All assets in the Mediebank are owned by a user. As a general rule, the owner of an asset is the user who have uploaded it. When a user is deleted, administrators must delegate ownership of the user’s assets to another user or the System user.

System user

The System user is a function in the mediebank. The System user may assume ownership of assets in the Mediebank if certain criteria are met:

• A user is deleted, and the assets they owned are not transferred to any other user

• An asset is imported or migrated to the Mediabank and no owner is specified.
