Integrating with your CMS

The Media API allows you to integrate the Mediebank with your Content Management System, and can enable you to do the following:

 

  • Fetch content from your Mediebank directly your CMS

  • Edit your Mediebank content from your CMS

  • Upload content from your CMS to the Mediebank

  • Apply usage details from your CMS and attach it to the original Mediebank asset

Best practices

To ensure consistency between your CMS and the Mediebank, we recommend that you pay close attention to the following:

 

  • Field alignment: Ensure that the fields in the CMS upload form match the fields in the Mediebank. Field alignment helps maintain consistency in the metadata associated with the uploaded files.

  • Synchronization of edits: When a user edits a file in the CMS, ensure that the changes are reflected in the corresponding file in the Mediebank. This will help you when searching for the file across all systems, and ensure that you enrich metadata for the asset wherever you access it.
