To upload asset to the media bank you could either drag and drop, use the api og upload directly from the upload page.

Upload destinations:

• Gallery
  The primary dashboard that facilitates searching and browsing through your business areas (organization) assets.
  

• Collection
  In addition to your gallery, you may have the option to upload images to an area called “Collection”. This feature allow groups from different business areas (organizations) to share assets across a lager company/concern (instance).
  

• Album
  A place to group assets that can be shared with people both inside and outside your organization. For externally shared albums you can enable password and expiry dates. They are shared as a link. This feature is recommended for when working on a project.
  Album can also be shared as a public gallery, e.g. a press archive.
  Private albums are only visible to you and the administrators in your organization.
  

• My Disk
  Personal storage where assets are hidden from the organization, but can be viewed as an administration.
